DAY 1: Chinchero, Maras and Moray Tour

We pickup you in Cusco at 11 a.m. and then heads to the picturesque town of Chinchero, this  a place where time seems to have stopped.

Chinchero is known for its combination of Inca and colonial style. In the same city, there is a temple that stands on what was the palace of Inca Túpac Yupanqui on  the time of the Incas.

You’ll be able to appreciate its famous Inca terraces, and on Sundays you can visit the traditional fair where ancestral customs are still alive.

Our journey continues to the archaeological site of Moray , an impressive archaeological site that looks like an amphitheater sunken into the earth.

These concentric circular terraces were used by the Incas as an advanced agricultural laboratory . Each level of these terraces has a different temperature, allowing ancient farmers to experiment with a wide variety of crops.

This day we will also visit the Maras Salt Mines . Here, you’ll find a landscape composed of more than 3,000 salt pools spread across the mountain. These pools have been exploited since before the Incas, and they also have a saltwater spring source. Visitors can walk among the pools, observe the salt extraction process , and even purchase salt at reasonable prices.

  • Accommodation : We will spend the night at the ” Spirit” of the River Lodge “.
  • Meals included : Breakfast the next day.

DAY 2: ATV Hummingbird Sanctuary and Wellness Day

After breakfast our adventure will begin on ATV ( Quad Bike ) . Our team will provide you with the vehicle and all the necessary equipment, as well as a brief training session to ensure your safety and comfort, even if it’s your first time riding.

We will drive on  the stunning landscapes on the Sacred Valley to the Hummingbird Sanctuary  is located in Yanahuara.

Peru is a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to more than 127 species of colorful hummingbirds. This sanctuary offers a best opportunity to take photos and admire these stunningly colorful winged jewels up close.

Upon returning to the lodge in the afternoon , you’ll relax and reconnect with nature. We’ll enjoy relaxing massages and sauna facilities , a true ” Wellness Day” that will prepare you for the big day ahead.

DAY 3: Visit to Machu Picchu

This day is dedicated to exploring the Inca city of Machu Picchu . To reach this Inca city, we’ll take the Vistadome train (included in the price, although you can upgrade) from Ollantaytambo to the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo). From there, a bus will take us to the entrance of the Inca city.

It is crucial to book tickets to Machu Picchu up to 4 months in advance , especially if you want to access specific circuits that include additional hikes such as Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain, as they have very limited availability.
