Spirit of The River Lodge Terms and Conditions

At Spirit of The River Lodge, our foremost concern is ensuring customer satisfaction by providing top-notch products and services. Nevertheless, we recognize that unforeseen situations might necessitate returning a product or seeking a refund. Below, we outline our returns and refunds policy to guarantee a clear and equitable shopping experience:

Reservation Guidelines: All bookings must be completed through our website by filling out the reservation form or by emailing us at info@spiritoftheriverlodge.com. Reservations can be made up to 12 months in advance and must be secured at least 2 days prior to the tour start date, subject to availability and hotel confirmation.

Last-Minute Reservations:

  1. For urgent booking inquiries or immediate confirmation, please call our office at +51 960 989 607. Our lines are open Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and on Sundays and holidays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
  2. Reach us via WhatsApp at +51 960 989 607 or +51 942 299 426. Please note the time zone is Peru time (GMT – 5).

Child Policies:

  1. Children of all ages are welcome when accompanied by their parents or legal guardians, provided appropriate documentation is presented.
  2. Kids under 5 sharing a bed with their parents stay free of charge.
  3. Children aged 6 and above are considered adults and must have their own sleeping space.
  4. Extra Bed and Crib Policies:
    • Cribs available upon request for children 2 years old.
    • Extra beds are not available at this property.
    • Cribs are provided based on availability.
  5. Age Requirements: There are no age restrictions for check-in.

Payment Method Policies

Spirit of The River Lodge accepts the following payment methods: Mastercard, BCP, Visa, PayPal, Discover, JCB, Diners Club, American Express, Stripe, and Western Union. Payments from abroad or within Peru via Western Union should include:

Important: After making a deposit, please send a copy of the deposit receipt or the MTCN code. We will then provide proof of payment receipt. PayPal payments are available in over 200 countries:

  1. PayPal transactions incur an 8% surcharge for interbank fees (e.g., US$ 100 + 8% = US$ 108.00). Indicate your payment preference when submitting traveler information, and we will send a PayPal payment request.
  2. Credit or Debit Card Payments:
    • An 8% surcharge applies for interbank fees (e.g., US$ 100 + 8% = US$ 108.00).
    • Upon selection, you will receive an email with a secure link to the VISA platform for payment.
    • The remaining 50% balance must be settled in Cusco no later than one day before the tour starts, either in cash (Soles or Dollars based on the current exchange rate) or via credit/debit card (with an 8% surcharge).

Reservation Cancellation Policies

Clients may cancel their reservations at any time by submitting a written notice to info@spiritoftheriverlodge.com. Cancellation fees are as follows:

  • Within one month of the stay: 40% of the total amount is non-refundable.
  • Within 15 days of the stay: 60% of the total amount is non-refundable.
  • For individual reservations: 100% of the total amount is forfeited, excluding additional costs such as shipping and bank fees.

Recommendations

We strongly advise obtaining travel and medical insurance for your safety. Insurance can be purchased from local and international providers based in Lima, Peru. In the event of illness or disability, we will ensure you receive care from a qualified physician. All related expenses, including hospitalization and medications, are the client’s responsibility.

Return Policy

  1. Refunds for Reservation Cancellations:

    • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the reservation. For instance, a refund for a Visa credit card payment will be returned directly to that card.
    • For Western Union payments, refunds will be deposited minus any shipping fees.
  2. Refund Process:

  3. Changes to Reservations:

    • Requests for different rooms or extended stays may require additional payment to cover the price difference.
  4. Privacy Policies:

    • We value your privacy and adhere to strict policies. Spirit of The River Lodge will use your information solely for reservation purposes and will not share it with third parties. Rest assured, your information is secure, and we do not tolerate spam.
  5. Responsibilities:

    • Passengers are responsible for their luggage throughout the trip.
    • Spirit of The River Lodge is not liable for damages, illnesses, losses, extra expenses, delays, or other issues arising from negligent or intentional acts, natural disasters, social problems, or acts of nature.
  6. Image Usage Rights:

    • By participating in our packages, clients agree to grant Spirit of The River Lodge the right to use any images, photos, and videos for advertising purposes without charge, upon initial consent at the start of the tour.

Passenger Compliance

  1. Acceptance and Understanding of Terms and Conditions:

    • The terms outlined in this document are mandatory and binding for all bookings and activities made through our website, email, or in person.
    • Utilizing any of these channels signifies your understanding and acceptance of these terms.
  2. Modification of Terms:

    • Spirit of The River Lodge reserves the right to alter or update these terms at any time. It is the client’s responsibility to review them regularly.
  3. Passenger Obligations:

    • Provide clear and accurate responses and information as requested by your assigned agent.
    • Follow the team’s instructions during the trip.
    • Attend all mandatory briefings prior to the tour, which are essential for a smooth experience.
